In 1924 the then
Trustees of the Devonport Bowling and Tennis Club contracted with the Devonport
Council to purchase on their behalf the present site and to construct thereon 3
tennis courts, one bowling green, one croquet lawn, a pavilion and dressing room.
However, in 1925 the Devonport Croquet Club appeared with its own president and
presumably its own identity although the records do not show precisely how this
was achieved. The tennis courts have since been relocated and in 1997 the
Bowls and Croquet Clubs amalgamated.

Membership subscription is
$120 + $34 affiliation fee.
Social membership is $25
Novice membership for
first year player $50 and $33 affiliation fee.
Junior member is $20 and $33 affiliation fee.
Green fees are $3 per week for members and $3 per day for
visitors.

Accredited coaches are
available. Prospective members may have three free lessons and then be asked
to join as a Novice
member at a cost of $50
for the current year. Further free lessons are available as requested.

The Club colours are
pale blue and
white. Pale blue or white tops and white trousers are to be worn on Saturday and
