East Launceston Croquet Club is on Windmill Hill and ahs been at that site since 1916. This is a designated area for low impact sports. We share the hill with a tennis club, bowls club and the new aquatic centre. The position is within walking distance of the CBD and there are a number of very good B and Bs in the immediate vicinity.
twilight games are held in summer with a sausage sizzle to follow.
Gerrard Trophy (golf croquet) is held in April.
Club championships are played between November and March with the finals in April. (Top)
Membership of the Club is capped at 40 as there is only one court. New players are welcome if the membership has dropped below this number. There are a few exceptions to this policy so any enquiry may be appropriate.
Membership fees are $140 due in July. (Top)
Coaching is available on Saturdays or by individual arrangement. (Top)
Croquet is played every day of the week. Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning are golf croquet times. Tuesday is available for members to practice and all other times are for association croquet. Morning sessions usually start at 10 am and afternoon sessions at 1 pm. Visitors are welcome to any of these sessions. (Top)
